This page gives a brief description of how to proceed to create technically acceptable NADA ads for newspapers. The distribution service NADAexpress preflights all ads prior to distribution. The technical advice supplied should let you avoid preflight errors that will block the ad from being distributed.
From 1 January 2012 onwards, the ISO standard 12647-3 is consided the prevailing color management standard for ads to Norwegian newspapers. This page gives a very brief description of color management in general, and describes how to set up a number of commonly used programs to adher to the ISO standard.
Most Norwegian newspapers use one or two fixed modular grids that determine allowable sizes for ads. The modular grid based on a 5 column page is the most commonly used for ads to go on text pages. This page shows the 5 column grid with all measurements included.
