From 1 January 2012 onwards ISO 12647-3 is the current standard for production and printing of newspaper ads in Norway. On this page you'll find the relevant files to download.

Ad creators and ad producers

The ISO standard 12647-3 is the current standard for production and printing of newspaper ads in Norway. This standard is embedded in the newspaper ad color conversion in NADAexpress – in the user-controlled version as well as in the automatic one.

The NADAexpress color conversion options let ad producers choose whether to do color conversion themselves or leave it to NADA. If one wants to do the required color conversion to CMYK or gray-level oneself, these two ICC profiles are needed:

ICC profile ISOnewspaper26v4 for conversion to CMYK

ICC profile ISOnewspaper26v4_gr for conversion to gray-level

How to handle these files

These files can be used on Macs as well as on Windows. They are zipped. Download the file(s) you want and unzip it/them. The ICC profiles need to be installed in the system on the PC/Mac you use when working with artwork and ads for newspapers.

• — Windows: Windows eller WINNT > system32 > spool > drivers > color (A tip: Simply right-click the profile and select Install profile in the menu shown.)
